This page is managed by the Wood County Health Department. Our mission is to prevent disease, promote healthy lifestyles and protect the health of everyone in Wood County. We aim to provide leadership and direction to help our community be the healthiest county in Ohio.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend at least two and a half hours each week of moderate physical activity. A great way of meeting this goal is by being active in the community, such as walking, running and biking.
We're fortunate in Wood County to have wide access to beautiful parks and other outdoor facilities that make it enjoyable to be active outdoors. Getting your exercise in a variety of settings is a good way to keep things interesting. The goal of this website is to share information about our local parks, trails, paths and community events that encourage people to be active and lead healthy lives.
